"In the past few months working with Touch Shooting and Coach Ryan as a trainer we have not only seen a tremendous growth in our son Ben’s skills and mechanics, but also as a young man.  The conversations you've had with him and the things you make him think about, such as setting future goals and appreciating your life have really stimulated his wanting to work harder and go stronger with basketball.  You have been a great role model for him to look up to with the path you have taken in your basketball life. Ben has the list of goals you created with him on his bedroom wall, which helps him to stay focused on the journey you are helping him with. We sincerely appreciate the time and belief in Ben and his basketball.  He loves every training session, As well as how you’ve helped him with the psychological part of the game, which sometimes is a larger piece then the dribbling and shooting.  We look forward to the growth you and Ben will develop together on this journey."

"As a basketball shooter, a lot of times I settle and tend to 'live or die' by my shot. But once I started working with Ryan, I've learned to expand other areas of my game (ball handling, moving without the ball) that ultimately allow me to get my shot off easier. He's also helped me to refine my mechanics, which help me to get my shot off faster, even when guarded by bigger defenders."

     — UC Iroegbu, PG #1 Stony Brook University

"Ryan is one of the best basketball shooters I have ever been around. He was my teammate and works super hard. He actually helped me with the mechanics of my shot every day after practice was over, he would put up extra shots with me no matter what. He had the best footwork on the team and was always ready to shoot when I passed him the ball. Great guy and great player."

 — John Florveus, University of Georgia, Overseas Pro

Ryan is the best basketball coach my son Colin has worked with, period. He shows a real attention to detail and shows my son subtle things he can do to improve his shot, get his shot off against bigger defenders, make a move more effectively, etc. I can think of multiple things Ryan has shown him that no other coach has suggested, that my son now uses regularly and effectively in games. Ryan does a good job of teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals for shooting in particular, but he also gives him new stuff to work on every session--its never boring. My son is always excited to go to a session, and is disappointed if he can't go. I highly recommend Touch Shooting to any players that want to get better.

I enjoy working out with Ryan Sypkens of Touch Shooting. His high intensity workouts emphasize on shooting the ball with the same form and mechanics every time , along with awesome drills that are very "game like." His shooting expertise has helped me improve and perfect my shooting mechanics and accuracy in game speed environments.

I served for 18 years under 4 different head coaches at UC Davis, as men's basketball transitioned from DII to DI. During that time our teams won 4 conference championships and one national championship. I have gotten to know, coach, and mentor many players with a wide range of skills and attitudes. Ryan Sypkens was one of those players I have known since he played in high school. I watched him mature personally, work hard in the classroom, and develop into the best three-point shooter in Big West history. I know his character extremely well. He is a student of the game, working hard during practices, but especially working on his game outside of practice-- putting in the extra time to improve his shooting, dribbling, ball handling, and strength and conditioning. No other player dedicated more time to improve his game than Ryan Sypkens. He is in a class by himself. He is an old-school gym rat. And that's the ultimate compliment."
